Christmas with Grandpa

I did it again..in my haste to get caught up on posts, i started this one backwards. ah well.
Grandpa's Christmas dinner was wonderful! The kids started out horseback ridding and after we finally pried Sydney off the horse they did pictures with the grand kids, then Santa came for a visit! Then we got to eat, enjoy each others company and then of course came the gift exchange. I like to think my kids are not all about the gifts but, when your getting from grandpa...well, it's hard not to get a LITTLE excited! Grandpa defiantly trumped Santa this year! I am very grateful for all he does for our kids. Not just the presents at Christmas of course but all he makes possible for them all year round. The girls were a crack-up trying to get this train to keep going, it did not want to co-operate!

A visit with the big guy.

I didn't even get a picture of Kole seeing his bike for the first time. Grandpa hid it outside and he ran out there so fast all I could snap a picture of was his back reflector!
Grandpa told Kole, Jacob and Corbin that they had a choice.. He would give them $200.00 cash a $25.00 check or they could have the "Unknown". It was so funny watching the three of them think about it. Kole took about three seconds and he was all about the unknown...Jacob thought about it...added it up and then choose the unknown...Corbin thought longer and harder, now his Dad has been in the finance business since we have know him so, this makes sense but, he choose the unknown also. It paid off for all of them !

A new CAR!! Jessica was a little jealous!

YES! a new Kitchen!

These two were priceless to watch. They just hung out while all the little ones got their presents.... never getting impatient or any ting!

Yep, its all good. We're way over being excited about getting presents.

Oh, what for me? that's cool.

A saddle.... hum...

a laptop! yes!! (that would be a Really high pitched yes!)
Oh, and the tears you see on Sydney is her realization of what a saddle means.........

Dinner, anyone?

The night started with some Horseback ridding.

A HAY RIDE? CAROLLING? HOT CHOCOLATE? YES!!

Well, We took Sydney out to ride and The McMurdies invited us to come and go on a Hay ride and Carolling. You didn't need to ask me twice! I was so excited!! oh, ya the kids wanted to go to.
But, of course it had to choose this night to rain. However, that did not stop the fun. Sydney rode until it was raining to hard and she had to quit. Then we went to the house where my kids were fed and we got to have some wonderful home made bread and then got to enjoy hot chocolate and good company! Thank You to the McMurdies and the Weathersbys (sorry for the spelling!) We had such a fun night!!
The Rain did not stop these guys from having fun.

Or these two little ones. Rylee kept begging to go carolling and we kept telling we cant - it raining. So, she come up soaking wet and is all ... what? no, it's not. it's not even wet out there! nice try baby!

Pre-Holiday Fun

Rylee's pre-school got to sing at an assembly at Cactus High School the week before school got out. They were all darling and sang Rudolph, must be Santa, and I saw Mommy kissing Santa Clause. They all had they're best singing voices and actions but, Rylee got a little stage fright and almost couldn't go on....the reason?....

This crowed was a little bigger than she expected! Who wouldn't be nervous - a room full of High Schoolers? But they were all really sweet to the kids and loved them!
