Automotive 101

SO, what did you do this morning?
Me, I got to stick my hand and most of my arm into this fuel tank!
yep. right into that hole in the middle.
was it full of gas? of COURSE. Why would you want to stick your arm into a fuel tank if it was empty? Where's the fun in that? And if it was empty, I wouldn't have the fun of walking around smelling like a mechanic all day!
yes, i smell. all day. still.
gas is not an easy smell to get rid of. no matter how many times you wash and no matter how many bath and body soaps you use and no matter how much lotion you apply. or perfume. you think you have it gone but...an hour later...its back.
I am VERY grateful for a husband who has to do this kind of stuff everyday and never complains. (even though I sometimes do. about the smell.)

Oh, why did I do this? well, Jim had to change out the fuel pump on the Suburban and he dropped a magnet thing into it on accident. And I needed to find and remove the "float" that is in there. The float is what reads how much gas you have. - there's your auto 101 lesson.
oh...i did NOT find and remove either of those. So to top it off, I smell for nothing!

This tank is huge. Amy, i think my adventure trumps your head lamp adventure. even though you looked cuter. However, Tara...you win hands down in the "putting you hand/arms into places they should NEVER go" category! (even though you probably smelt better than me after a good washing!)

And thank you to my totally HOT hubby for fixing my car! (again)
I love that he can fix anything. You rock baby!

Did I mention how much I love this guy!?

The Science Center We went to visit the science center this week. I love this place. It was so fun to go do something different. The kids love it and it is totally hands on. We had a great day playing with all the crazy stuff they have there. Looking for something to do - I suggest here. Oh, and if you go don't miss the Forces of nature exhibit. My fav. You get to stand on a platform and experience a hurricane, monsoon, earthquake...good stuff! Go check it out. you'll have as much fun as the kids!

Just a few of the things.

We've always know he was a little "different" - this explains a lot.

The bed of nails was really cool! They had to hold really still - neither of them had a problem with that rule! (now i know the secret - nails!)

Kole got to do some rock climbing.

Cute kids!
